Transverse Step Ups With Contralateral Kettlebell Rack

  • HOW: Start by facing sideways to the box. Rotate your hips towards the box and place your foot on the box. Rotate your hips over your foot and step onto the box. When stepping down, make sure to rotate your hips, not your knee, to lower yourself to the ground.
  • FEEL: You should feel the muscles in your hips and knee working to stabilize your leg.
  • COMPENSATION: Do not let your knee take the majority of the movement. It is okay for the knee to go into valgus; however, aim to control as much of the knee movement as possible with your hips.
