[P]rehab’s
Mission

[P]rehab’s
Mission

To redefine how physical therapy is accessed and empower you to take control of your health so you can enjoy a pain-free life.

What is [P]rehab?

Traditional physical therapy treats pain and injuries after they occur. Prehab takes a proactive approach, empowering you to care for your body now to improve results and prevent future issues.

Short for “preventive rehab,” Prehab adapts rehab and sports medicine techniques, teaching you to apply them independently to stay ahead of pain and injury.

What is Prehab

How It All Started

After meeting in physical therapy school in 2015, we quickly realized that our healthcare system is broken. It focuses on symptom management rather than prevention. We saw that people who were supposed to be cared for were suffering, and this prompted us to take action. Realizing that many simply needed trusted guidance, we developed a solution centered on prevention and empowering individuals to take control of their health.

We Believe That…

  • Everyone should have access to information and tools that facilitate a healthier life.

  • Taking control of your health should be simple—not limited by time, cost, or lack of knowledge.
  • A proactive approach to health is more effective and sustainable than a reactive one.

Who We Are

What began as “The Prehab Guys” has grown into a diverse team of men and women from around the world, all united by our mission. Each clinical team member holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a Certification in Strength and Conditioning, bringing expertise and dedication to our work.

What We Do

[P]rehab removes common healthcare barriers—such as high costs, insurance hassles, and time constraints—empowering you with the knowledge you need to relieve pain, improve mobility and prevent common injuries, anytime, anywhere..

How We Do It

We started by sharing educational exercise content online. As our community grew, we recognized the need for more comprehensive tools. This led to the creation of the Exercise Library–a Home Exercise Program (HEP) builder designed for clinicians -and the Prehab app, the leading physical therapy app offering personalized programs for individuals looking to take control of their health.

We’ve Helped 50K+ Prehabbers get back to doing what they love…

Michael Lau
Michael LauPT, DPT, CSCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy,
Chief Product Officer

Michael was born and raised in Northern California but now currently resides in Sunny SoCal ever since attending the University of California, Los Angeles as an undergraduate majoring in physiology. After his undergraduate studies, he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from cross-town rival the University of Southern California.

As a licensed physical therapist with a strong background in strength and conditioning, Michael likes to blend the realms of strength training and rehabilitation to provide prehab, or preventative rehabilitation, to his patients.

A common human behavior is to address problems after they become an issue and far often too late, which is a reactionary approach. He believes the key to improved health care is education and awareness. This proactive approach-prehab-can reduce the risk of injuries and pain in the first place.

He is a huge proponent of movement education and pain science. Clinically, he has a special interest in ACLR rehab and return to sport for the lower extremity athlete.

Adelle has continued to expand her skillset and thirst for growth by getting certified in Pilates, taking doctoral students & new graduates under her wing as a clinical instructor and mentor, and receiving her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) to further develop her passion of bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance!
