In this episode, Dillon sits down to talk with Division 1 Soccer player Gabby Piontkowski. In her first year of college, she faced an illness that almost ended her life but then was able to battle back and return to D1 soccer. Gabby has opened up the conversation on mental health and discusses strategies that helped her as a youth athlete and collegiate athlete when faced with uncertainty. Dillon and Gabby discuss social stigmas that surround mental health, emotional hygiene, and strategies to further open up this important conversation!!!

Gabby Piontkowski is currently a junior at Binghamton University where she plays division one soccer and is majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Health & Wellness and Education. She plans to become a sports psychologist and coach college soccer in the future. After dealing with a life-threatening condition during her freshman year of college and reflecting on anxiety experienced as a youth athlete, she discovered her passion for helping those live a healthier lifestyle, both physically and mentally. She continues to face adversity but has turned her struggles into a mission to further open up the conversation of mental health.
