Really interesting!!! I am not quite sure though about the differences between active and passive stretch in terms of benefits?? When should we do one or the other?? Thanks!

Hi Gail!
Great question. Generally active, dynamic stretching is excellent for warming up prior to getting into a specific workout or activity, versus passive being better for once your muscles are warm, such as after a workout! Please let us know if you have further questions :).
Best,

Hi! thanks for the reply..I have another question: if passive stretching is best done when muscles are already warm, what do you think of Yin yoga for ex, where passive stretches are not done on warm muscles..thanks!
