- WHY: This exercise is an easy way to start waking up the core muscles in a safe environment.
- HOW: Start this exercise on your back with your knees bent and feet on the floor. Keep the small of your back pushed into the floor by activating your core. While maintaining core activation, march one leg up and down in a controlled manner. Repeat with the opposite side. Do NOT let the back arch with this exercise. Make sure you are breathing as you perform this exercise
- FEEL: You should feel the abdominal muscles engaging while you perform this exercise.
